How Do You Do?

Many people are convinced that the way to end violence and injustice is through legislation, as if a ban on guns will end murder. God placed a ban on hate, murder, and slander, however, those prohibitions have yet to end hate, murder, or slander. And for the record, it’s not as simple as not doing things. What do you do?

God has placed a greater mandate on loving. Love is not only the opposite of hate. Love is also the opposite of murder and slander.  Funny how that works out.

What do you do? How do you think of others, yourself and God?

As the people of God, we must always love; first God, ourselves, our families, and then people everywhere else (not just the people we like). A major part of loving the invisible God is to loving the individuals He created.

This Shabbat, may the Holy One, (Blessed is He), give you a heart of love, that you would love not blindly, but perfectly of the Torah of Adonai. May He restore your being and send you help from His Sanctuary!

Shabbat Shalom!
